Art Therapy Workshop Calendar 2025

THE GARDEN OF HOPE (7-12 YEARS)

In this heartwarming workshop, children will explore the concept of hope – what does it mean to hope and how their voices can be used to uplift others and become part of a shared vision for a brighter, more compassionate world. They will create their own unique floating lantern using the 3-dimensional collage techniques. Children will explore how patterns, shapes and texture can combine to make a visually dynamic piece. Each lantern carries a personal wish, affirmation, or vision for a better world – designed to be a light in dark times. When displayed together, these glowing creations form a breathtaking mural of individuality, unity, and possibility — a space where each child’s light joins with others to form a collective constellation of hope.

Workshop Outcomes

  • Learn to see themselves as part of a collective vision while celebrating their individuality.
  • Deepen emotional literacy by exploring their inner wishes, strengths, and dreams.
  • Explore diversity and inclusion by celebrating that each lantern is different, yet can exist in harmony.
  • Strengthen creative expression and mixed media artmaking through layered collage techniques.
  • Experience a sense of agency — understanding that their voice, when expressed, can contribute to a more hopeful and compassionate world.
